August 1st is Lung Cancer Awareness Day.
August 1st is World Lung Cancer Day, a global observance focused on raising awareness and uniting in the fight against lung cancer. With the theme 'Stronger Together: United for Lung Cancer Awareness,' it highlights that anyone with lungs is at risk, not just smokers, due to diverse factors like radon exposure and air pollution.
While it remains a leading cause of cancer deaths, advancements in early detection through screening and personalized treatments offer significant hope and improved survival. We urge you to understand your risk, recognize symptoms, and talk to your doctor about screening.
